They offered me the bypass too, but I have never liked the idea of that. I was always sure that the band was for me and nothing would change my mind. Then 6 months ago when I had my gall bladder out they said there was a new option, the sleeve and I could have that instead. I looked into it as never heard of it before, but decided I didnt like the sound of it, the risks/side effects, problems and malabsorption put me off. I like the idea that the band can be removed if I get problems, but with the sleeve, once its done, its done, it cant be reversed. So I had my pre operative assessment last week and again they asked me if I wanted to change my mind to the sleeve. I said no, but have been thinking about it more and I am on some PCOS support groups and some of the ladies on there have had bariatric surgery and some said dont get the band and to do more research. So now I am really confused and unsure what to do, any advice would be welcomed gratefully
