Royals October: A Pretty Fantastic Story * * * Its come out that, after Sunday nights 8-3 Kansas City over the L.A. Angels, first baseman Eric Hosmer celebrated with the people. Hours after hitting a home run in the game that sent the Royals to the American League Championship Series against Baltimore, Hosmer goes to a bar in the Power & Light District downtown and pays for everybodys drinks for an hour. Did he ever. TMZ reports the total bill was more than $20,000. (Yes, professional baseball players make a lot of money but I absolutely love the fact that Hosmer did this for the fan base.)
