Rubix is a four year old pit mix that was left tied to a gate near a school parking lot. Please help advocate and share Rubix tonight for a foster or adopter before it is to late. He is said to be very relaxed and friendly in nature. A volunteer writes: As if Rubixs unusual good looks werent enough to grab my attention, the second he sees me pause in front of his kennel this friendly guy starts dancing up and down on his front paws and trying to give me kisses through the door! I get out some treats and he gently mouths them from my hand, even eating the plain biscuits other dogs refuse. Rubix has the most perfectly cropped ears Ive ever seen and his dark almond eyes are simply mesmerizing. Although his fur is a bit sparse right now, the demodex mange responsible for this hair loss is quite treatable. Once settled in a real home and enjoying some much-needed TLC, this gorgeous boy will soon return to his golden-coated glory. Its hard to stop gushing over his amazing looks but lets go outside and meet the fun-loving Rubix behind this beautiful exterior. Though he appears to have had very minimal training, Rubix certainly knows how to walk like a pro, keeping a calm pace and using the bathroom as soon as we hit the street. He has a playful side as well and off-leash in the yard he enthusiastically runs the perimeter, leaps up on the chairs and then decides to let me in on the jumping action too - Rubix may be all grown-up but hes still a puppy at heart! This smart, energetic boy will need plenty of stimulating toys, exercise and firm but loving guidance from his new parents to mature into the stellar pet he was destined to be. Rubix is no wallflower and hes already something of a celebrity among the staff here, everybody knows his name and calls out a greeting as we pass by. Hes a popular guy and no wonder, this is a dog with a unique look and some real star power in the personality department.
