Ruby Nell Dwyer GREENVILLE – Ruby Nell Dwyer, 93, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born in Muhlenberg County Oct. 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Grace Redfern. She was a member of Leighs Chapel General Baptist Church. She was co-owner of a dairy farm and a grocery store and spent many hours doing volunteer work in her community. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, quilting and spending time with her family. For the past 2 1/2 years she enjoyed living at the Courtyard in Central City, where she became friends with many residents and employees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dwyer; a son, Wayne Mickey Dwyer; and a great-grandson, Christian Matthew Wright. Survivors include two sons, Charles (Kay) Dwyer of Clarkston, Wash. and Terry Dwyer of Russellville; a daughter, Becky (Roger) Wright of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Doris Dwyer of Rochester; 10 grandchildren, Angela (Ben) Enns of Denver, Colo., Leigha (Jeff) Carsrud and Eric (Jo) Dwyer, both of Rapid City, S.D., Chuck (Jodi) Dwyer of Clarkston, Wash., Stephanie Dwyer Fortney of Brentwood, Tenn., Scott Dwyer of Drakesboro, Michelle (Darren) Mathis of Central City, Matthew (Leslie) Wright of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Faith Dwyer Farley of Belton and Terry Dwyer II of Rochester; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. July 12 at Leighs Chapel General Baptist Church with the Revs. Roger Wright and John Galyen officiating. Burial will follow in Old Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. July 12 at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
