Rules calls that I noticed during game. Not pointing at anything - TopicsExpress

Rules calls that I noticed during game. Not pointing at anything or anyone, just letting folks know so that going forward well know the correct calls. If you noticed any other rules confusion please note it here as well. Concealment: 1) As long as the concealed character moves slowly and stays near some sort of shadow or obscuring object (for example, a wall, in the trees, crawling through grass) Please keep this in mind. Concealment is not invisibility. Standing in the middle of an open field doesnt work. 2) If he is already concealed and approaches or is approached by someone within 10 feet who is affected by the concealment, then the concealed person must remain motionless or he will be immediately detected. So, if you round a corner and there is someone there youve just broken your conceal. Likewise, if a patrolling guard walks past you, you can not move at all while he is within 10. Funnily enough, talking is not covered at all. Ill send this off to the FRC. But as a GM I would say if youre talking loud enough to be heard the conceal is in serious trouble... Repulse Good/Neutral/Evil: 1) Area: 1 Target, Stacking: NA Another one for the FRC. In general, the same spell can not affect the same object/area. For instance, you can not have both an Enhance Damage and an Enhance Damage. However, this SAS is affecting an object or person which then has an area effect from the object. And so the question of if the areas can stack from multiple affected objects (thus allowing three castings of the spell to repulse everything). Calculating Volume: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubic_foot wikihow/Find-Cubic-Feet wiki.answers/Q/Is_3_feet_cubed_27_cubic_feet There has been some confusion about feet cubed and cubic feet in regards to the volume of items of holding. Its an easy mistake to make, but the pricing in the BB is based on cubic feet, not feet cubed. The links above should provide some clarification. Elemental Protection: 1) This spell will protect the target from one element of the caster’s choice (Earth, Fire, Ice, or Lightning). You must choose the element at the time of casting, and the element can not be changed without an additional casting of the spell. Also, as with all SAS, the same target can not benefit from multiple castings. (So there is no way to have protection from more than one element at a time.) Enthrall: 1) This spell will cause an affected target to regard the caster as an important friend and ally, and to trust and believe whatever the caster says. Under no circumstances will an affected target act to harm the caster, and she will give consent to have additional non-damaging spells cast on her by the caster. The target will not do anything that goes against her own basic nature or that seems dangerous to her, with the exception that she will do her best to defend the caster against attack. If the caster attacks the target, the Enthrall will immediately end. This is an LI spell. Probably one of the least understood SAS out there. Please read it. Battle Fever: +2 vs. LI: Please note this ability raises your resistance to LI. it does nothing for your out going LI. For instance, it does not raise the LI of the Fighters disengage.
