Running Scared, Very Scared. The fact is the PDP and the Presidency under Dr Jonathan have now seen the hand-writing on the wall. They have seen that Nigerians definitely want a Change, and they feel Buhari will at least be some of that Change. The PDP knows that Nigerians will not allow them to rig to remain in power any longer or beyond 29 May 2015. So the PDP are running scared and trying to use every dirty tactics to forestall a foregone conclusion. I dont blame them; it is a natural survival tactics to employ in a twisted and subverted democracy such as ours. Hence we have very serious mudslinging instead of focusing on REAL ISSUES that affect 160 million or more Nigerians. And those who, one way or the other, rulers or followers, have benefitted, even if very negligibly and infinitessimally from the corrupt, greedy, selfish and self-serving system prefer the status quo. There are so many things at stake; some even close to life and death. There is the fear of prison/long incarceration for some; fear of finacial insecurity for some, as their illegal sources of income will dry up; some fear irrelevance in the political scheme of things and control of vast resources slipping away from them; and even more selfishly, is the fear that REAL POWER will now return rightfully to the People. It is a nightmarish phenomenon if you are ever in that position. And hence the fear. But should we take pity on them? No. Let them have their nightmare while we have out sweet dreams turned into reality. The important thing is that the country must be saved from the downward spiral that it has been descending into for the past 40 years. Or at least, lets arrest that spiral, that has gone out of control. All hands on deck!!
