Rush Limbaugh is an ideologue and a propagandist. This is as clear as can be, as he interprets ALL events in life through his own narrow ideological lens. This was also true of both the communist press (Pravda in the Soviet Union) and the Nazi fascist press (Völkischer Beobachter), both of which were tightly controlled major propaganda media that shaped the minds of uncritical readers. Every major item of news, every event, every scandal, every trial, was exploited as representative of the great battle between two polarized ideologies. So, to Limbaugh, the suicide of a much-beloved American comedian is not a singular or unique tragedy, but primarily an example of leftism. Limbaugh pretends to know Williams inner mind and he stereotypes all who vote Democratic as similarly full of pessimism, darkness and sadness, who (like Williams, it is implied) are always angry. Comedian Robin Williams, he says (citing Fox News), suffered from survivors guilt due to the loss of some of his friends to early death. THAT, claims Limbaugh, is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country. To the propagandist, all of life is political and ideological, all of life falls into a pattern of negative = them and positive = us, whether those events are familial, local, regional, or national ~ or whether they are cultural, social or political.
