Russia and Iran are working on different levels to aid the Iraqi - TopicsExpress

Russia and Iran are working on different levels to aid the Iraqi government in their fight against the current ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) terrorist attack, sending drones and jet fighters. The USA is there also, sending 300 troops to protect their embassy and other interests in Iraq, and drones to protect the 300 troops who are there to protect their embassy. Does this seem a little strange? Maybe like bullshit, since the description of the troops has now been changed to advisers, depending on the source? They are special ops-troops, officially. First they were there to protect the embassy and other interests. Now they are there to advise (300 advisers? Advising on what? And now they need drones to protect special-ops advisers?) Im confused. From the article: The United States announced last week that it had begun flying armed drones over Iraq to protect the 300 American advisers ordered sent there by Mr. Obama, but there have been no reports that they have gone into action. The only one of the three countries with political conditions attached (i.e - if you do THIS, we will help you..) is, of course, the USA: The Iraqis have asked the United States for help in buying aircraft such as F-16s and advanced helicopter gunships, some of which they do already have, but Congress has been reluctant to approve more such sales until Mr. Maliki forms a government that is more inclusive of Sunni and Kurdish leaders.
