Russia’s Air Base in Armavir Receives New Combat Trainers The training air base located in Armavir will receive more than 20 Yak-130 combat training aircraft before the end of this year. The engineers have already accepted five new trainers to be delivered to the base before the end of this week. This came in a statement by Col. Igor Klimov, a spokesman for the Russian Air Force. “The maintenance specialists have inspected the assembly quality, tested the advanced equipment, systems and mechanisms, as well as the motor in different modes. The pilots have performed at least ten flights to assess the performance of all control systems in the air,” Mr. Klimov said. It should be noted that the Yak-130 combat training aircraft is designed for teaching, training, and maintaining the skills of fighter pilots. The greatest advantage of the Yak-130 consists in its complex control system that makes it possible to fly at high angles of attack and perform aerobatics with ease.
