Rutgers students living off-campus in New Brunswick may register for Project Move Out. Project Move Out recovers discarded furniture, appliances, electronics, and textiles to keep these items out of landfills after students move out of off-campus housing. Off-campus students living in New Brunswick must register online by noon on May 21 for free pickup on May 22–28. Bulk waste may also be dropped off in Parking Lot 30 behind the College Avenue Gym from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 22, 23, 27, and 28. A Rutgers student ID is required for drop-offs. Students are encouraged to register to avoid municipal fines between $150–$2,000 for bulk curbside waste and to help reduce our carbon footprint.
