SABBATH QUESTION: WHY DO YOU PUT SO MUCH EMPHASIS ON THE SABBATH? We ought to obey God rather than man (Acts 5:29) (Acts 4:19). To worship on the seventh day is to accept the authority of our Creator Lord, who commanded the day to be kept (Ex.20:8-11) (Lev.26:2) (Gen.2:2,3) (Neh.13:16-19) (Ex.31:17) (Luke 13:14). Whose servants are we, Gods or mans? ((Rom.6:16)..........The seventh-day Sabbath is Gods fourth commandment (Ex. 20:8) (Lev.26:2) (Ex.31:13) (Isa.58:13) (Ezk.20:12,19,20). Jesus kept the seventh-day Sabbath and so did his disciples before and after His death and resurrection. The Sabbath is the seal of God (Isa.8:16). It contains the three elements of heavens official Royal seal: Gods name, His title, and His territory (Ex.20:8-11). Gods people will receive the seal of the Sabbath before the end (Rev.7:1-3) (Rev.9:4) (Rev.22:4). Gods last message calls for us to worship the Creator and keep Gods commandments (Rev.14:7,12) (John 14:15) - If you love Me, keep My COMMANDMENTS........(1John 5:3) - For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome........(1 John 2:3,4,7) - Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him........(1John 3:22) - And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.......THE DIVINE INVITATION IS TO COME AND FIND REST IN JESUS. EACH SABBATH PROVIDES US WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO RENEW OUR COMMITMENT WITH OUR LORD. (Matt. 11:28-30)- Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
