SACP member of the central committee Charles Setsubi has pleaded with Numsa leadership not to confuse workers. Setsubi was speaking during a visit to factories in Rosslyn, north of Pretoria, which was aimed at targeting Numsa workers for the upcoming elections. When you join the ANC, you join it voluntarily and you join it as an individual. So the day you feel that this organisation does no longer serve your interest, you are free to take your jacket and move out. You have no right to organise [a new party] within the labour movement and to encourage other individuals to follow you. The Metalworkers Union has announced that it is consulting various organisations on the possibility of forming a United Front for Socialism. The national elections will take place on May 7, 2014.
