ANIMALS IN NEED OF RESCUE COMMITMENT BYTHURSDAY, JANUARY 15TH AT NOON Duke A24620239: 5 year old male Border Collie/ACD mix 49.50lbs Dukes owners brought him to us because they were unable to afford a pet at this time. They had him for 10 months and got him from a friend. He was kept inside most of the time, sometimes has accidents and did well when left along for a few hours inside. He did not live with other dogs, cats or kids. The owners reported that he has snapped/bitten while trimming his nails. Duke is showing dog issues here at the shelter. We have done several dog tests with him, some went okay, some went poorly (with Duke snarling/barking/snapping at other dogs). He is also showing barrier aggression towards other dogs in the kennel. Today was my first time meeting Duke and I was able to walk right into his run and say hello. He wanted to play tug of war and seemed VERY excited that it was breakfast time.
