SAD DAY: i am very sorry to inform that Prof. Devidas Kishanrao Deshmukh died last evening in Pune. His funeral took place in Aurangabad this morning.He is survived by his elder brother D.K.Deshmukh (Sr.) (Ex.M.L.C.), sister Kusumtai Neb, younger brothers Pradip & Suhas ,wife Vidyavahini,daughter Kranti & son Shantanu, son in law, grandkids & very large no.of friends & students.... he did his school education from Majalgaon..college education from Ambajogai & Aurangabad. for a long time he taught Chemistry in Govt.Polytechnic, Aurangabad. He taught the subject in JNEC & MIT also...he had very keen interest in literature &journalism..he wrote some short stories which appeared in MaTa & Marathwada...wrote a coln.for some time in weekly Sobat...to me he was sort of mentor.... we discussed everything under the Sun since 1978..( the year in which i came Aurangabad..) in fact he took me to Anantrao Bhalerao sometime in 1982 thereafter i got associated with the daily in 1984...he was 63 & this is not the age in this era to say good bye...but unfortunately that happened... i hope & pray that vahini, Kranti & Shantanu will have courage to bear the loss which is not limited to them...
