****SADIE DREAMS OF A SAVIOR WHO WILL COME AND RESCUE HER!**** So one day, SADIE’s people decided that after 6 years they couldn’t afford her any more. So off she went to sit in a cage at Manhattan ACC, surrounded by barking dogs and seeing strangers passing her by. Two days later, someone finally got around to give her an intake medical exam and by then, SADIE was beyond nervous and scared…so they muzzled her. And then on the same day, yet another stranger took her to a new room for a behavioral eval…and she was great until they brought that strange dog in. But then look what happened when they put a muzzle on her and let her into a group, off leash—she “did warm up and displayed appropriate greeting behaviors”. We learn from her original owners that SADIE lived in harmony with other dogs but sometimes took exception to strange female dogs--Certainly something to consider. ACC has decided that nobody could ever want this people friendly dog with the wagging tail and they’ve put her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, SADIE’s looking for that special dog-savyy person who understands that female on female issues can happen fairly often and who will know how to work on that. At 6, SADIE’s over the baby puppy demands and just wants to go back to being a wanted member of a household who thinks she’s worth something. SADIE’s already spayed so she’s ready to go in a flash. If you think you can have that tail wagging at your side, start working on fostering or adopting her. But remember—at noon tomorrow, ACC won’t hesitate to make sweet SADIE gone forever.
