Tonight I had the pleasure of addressing the Greater Endicott Street Neighborhood Association at their meeting. Councillor Elaine Milo also spoke. My comments focused on my desire to be accessible to the public and how many fail to take advantage of that accessibility. Many constituents choose not to call at-Large Councillors preferring to deal strictly with their ward Councillors. It is always a good idea to involve at least one of the four at-Large types in whatever cause or complaint has your attention. I also touched on civic engagement and what it can mean when neighbors work together to to improve things, and to recruit others to do the same. Working together is not always easy, but it is always worthwhile. That is true for city councillors, and true also for neighbors.
