So Updated XXi 1HZ Turbo results --very interesting-- Replaced the XXi intercooler it had with the new engineered XXi intake Manifold Mod version. Ran her up on the dyno again (roughly around a 10kw gain), but nothing too exciting. It does prove 1 very valid point we always try to convey. A dyno is just a locked machine that tells you a maximum figure for the given resistance. It can never truly gauge actual performance - which we here at xxi are all about. Now heres where it gets interesting. The dyno shows 198.4rwhp with the 33s @ 23psi/ 20:1 Some quick Gauged 0-100 times tells us 1 thing instantly. This thing is FAASSTT. A few more runs and it makes 0-100kph (95kph on the speedo due to the 33s) in just under 10 seconds. Which by the calculations is actually faster than its bigger brother, being a 1HDFT running 30psi @ 18:1 with all the same modifications. Which pulled close to 240rwhp on the dyno. So delivery and performance are valuable enough to trump the best dyno sheet. And its always such a great feeling to blow the doors off a truck that clearly has more power than yours sick pleasures, I know :D. This is also a key factor to the tuning size of things we also do. After a tune it wont make much more hp on the dyno. What it will do, is make that power sooner and knock a good 4 seconds off the factory 0-100 times, plus gives all the goodies that come with a good tune - throttle response, spool up, fuel economy and much more. XXi 1HZ Project Clutch Pump/injectors Airbox Intercooler new 3.5 snorkel Gturbo BadBoy Now this truly is as far as we are willing to take a Factory 1HZ with all stock internals and give it the stamp of 100% reliability. The only other thing that could give greater free performance (as this intercooler did) is swapping the turbo to a Grunter Extreme which is better suited for performance with the lower boost these 1HZs run. And lower being 23psi. But with performance like this - who would really bother... :) Vids. https://youtube/watch?v=br2tZaF4PzQ&feature=youtu.be The V6 commodore has no chance of catching it. https://youtube/watch?v=IgW3NJEL4hM -A big thanks to the owner JAMES GASCOIGNE, whos patience and dedication has help pave the way for all other 1HZ owners out there.-
