SALVATION ARMY OPENING AS EMERGENCY SHELTER FROM FREEZING WEATHER Mobile, AL (November 13, 2014) – The Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama will be opening our doors as an emergency shelter for homeless men, women and children during tonights freezing weather. If needed, we have 150 cots that can be placed throughout our building for anyone seeking shelter, and everyone will be served a hot breakfast tomorrow morning. We plan to operate our overnight emergency shelter throughout the weekend, and will decide on Monday our plans for next week. The Salvation Army’s shelter is located at 1009 Dauphin Street.
