SANGAI express. Imphal, Nov 4 : The 1st IWC Non-State Badminton Tournament, organised by Imphal Western Club (IWC) concluded today at IWC Indoor Stadium, Uripok Khumanthem Leikai, Imphal. Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, MLA L Nandakumar, Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Manipur Badminton Association president Bijoy Koijam and IWC president Th Biren Singh graced the closing ceremony as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively and also distributed the awards to the winners of the tournnament. In todays mens event, Meirembam Arunkumar defeated Bidyaraj Salam 22-20, 21-12 to clinch the mens single title. In womens event, Kshetrimayum Maheshwari Devi downed Inakhunbi Devi Kadam 21-5, 21-7 to claim the womens single title. Akoijam Pradeepkumar and Bonny Akoijam won the mens doubles final while Ronald Soibam and Sapam Bimol bagged the runners up title. Mairembam Arunkumar Singh and Bidyaraj Salam clinched the U-19 boys single and runners up title respectively. Kshetrmayum Maheshwari Devi and Leimapokpam Diana Devi bagged the U-19 girls single and runners up title. RK Telesana Singh and Kharibam Singh claimed the U-15 boys single and runners up title. Kshetrimayum Maheshwari Devi claimed her third title in the U-15 girls singles while Leimapokpam Diana Devi bagged her second runners up title.f
