A volunteer writes: I would rather have called her…Diamond as Sapphire is one of the nicest dogs around. She might be an elderly, have a little growth on her side but she is really pretty, feminine in her lovely white dress. She is relatively well nourished. She owns expressive, almost perfectly clear chestnut button eyes and ears flying with the wind. Sapphire is a good trooper. She walks beautifully on the leash and eliminates in the street, not in the yard. Sapphire does not mind me outfitting her with a scarf and a coat. She likes the attention and has clearly been around people. Her tail is wagging non stop when I talk to her and she comes right away when I call her. She is a family dog. She likes treats that she takes politely from my hand. Sapphire seems to like other dogs, even the little ones. She is very comfortable around them. I know she is nine years of age….She is a great gal, though, sociable, gentle, friendly and low key…I also know that there is a match out there for her… Someone who wants to give an older good dog a soft bed and the well deserved love of a master.
