SASSAFRAS PLAYGROUND REHAB! JOIN US! Tomorrow morning at 9am • Saturday, August 30th. MATERIALS TO BRING if youve got them: Work Gloves (a must to sand with!) Hammers Cordless tools (screw drivers, drills, saws, sanders, etc.) Rakes Brooms Shovels Weed Eaters Wheel Barrows Chalk or Marking Crayons Duct Tape Bottled Water and Drinks Snacks Pop-up Tents Folding Tables Folding or Umbrella Chairs Paper Towels Plastic Garbage Bags Video and still cameras! Well be sanding the structure for final sealing by experienced volunteers later this week. Well also be looking for problematic nails and screws, weeding, and picking up trash. Well be painting new small animal murals (good kid activity) and may extend our cleaning efforts to the school grounds and parking lot. The park has had some major improvements done already by the Recreation Department. Its already beautiful (Thank you, Recreation Director Rob Spagnola!) but our finishing touches will leave this structure in good shape for another decade!
