SATAYA 2..RGV makes another brave attempt at regaining his lost glory. But as expected by most cine goers... fails yet again. Because it has been named SATYA 2 ,comparisons with the original would be drawn. The few points that didnt go down well in comparison are as follows.... 1. MUSIC...a major let down..cant remember a single line from the new one. 2.ACTORS..all the actors including the lead are just about OK and not as powerful, in fact some characters seem like a miscast. Not a single known face except maybe mahesh thakur.( original had urmila,paresh,saurabh shukla etc), and that makes one lose anchorage in the narration. 3. TITILLATION...wasnt there in the original , wasnt needed in this one. A gaon ki bholi bhali girl breaks into seductive poses and wears tube tops ...and grooves on tasteless songs..snip snip. 4 LOGIC..missing bigtime..why would satyas partners follow him blindly, even agree to kill VIPs..was beyond me. 5 EDITING...satya 1 was tight but this one could have done away with a lot of scenes and all the songs. 6 ANURAG KASHYAP...that to me is the biggest difference between the two...anurag who was 23 then, along with saurabh shukla wrote satya. The script should have been handled more professionally here. All said and done the thing i DID like about the movie is the cinematography. The Ariel shots were brilliant and rgv is back with good Guerrilla filmmaking . Also there certainly is an element of darkness in the film that could be related to satya 1 and i liked the basic IDEA of the film. 2 stars.
