SATURDAY, JULY 13, 2013 THEME: “WALLDOGS BIRTHDAY BASH” 7:30am Registration/8:30am Race: KIDS TRI…athlon Location: Northeast Park (north side of town on Main St.) Kids ages 7-17 are encouraged to participate in this FUN and non-competitive event including swimming (non-swimmers can participate), biking, and running in and around Northeast Park in Kewanee, IL. No experience is necessary. This event begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13th. Pre-registration is encouraged online at KewaneeYMCA.org (go to “Online Registration” and search “Kids TRI”). Participation is limited to 100 kids. The cost is $20 per child. All kids will receive a t-shirt and a backpack plus more goodies. Participants need to bring: towel, swimsuit, bike, helmet (required), running shoes with socks, and sunscreen. It’s all about having FUN and feeling GREAT about crossing the finish line! Proceeds will benefit the Walldogs Maintenance Fund 8am-5pm: 16th Annual Kewanee Car Show Location: Downtown Kewanee First time in Downtown Kewanee! Enjoy vintage and classic cars throughout Kewanee’s downtown. Includes creeper races, spark plug changing contest, and best rodder contest. Tons of awards! Award presentations begin at 3:30 pm. Main St. (next to the Roger Reiman Mural) In honor of the mural depicting Roger Reiman, Reiman’s Harley Davidson is hosting a bike (motorcycle) show. All models are welcome. Award presentations at 3:30 pm for Top 3 Best in Class in all Classes, Walldogs’ Best in Show, Exhibitor’s Best in Show, People’s Best in Show. Reiman’s Harley Davidson is also holding an open house at the store at 623 N. Main St., 8am to 5pm.
