SATURDAY NIGHT: Hi all! I just wanted to update you on a bunch of things :) 1) Website: several of you have asked me if we can update the website to reflect current events, updates, etc. I have reached out the gal who designed the website (she is a friend of Elizabeths). I asked her if she would be willing to update the website for us weekly or provide us with the means to do it ourselves. I have not heard back from her and I am concerned :( Ill try again and will keep you posted. 2) Organizational Meeting in the Washington DC area: as some of you know, we are holding an organizational meeting for PTTR and PIPS next Saturday - March 1st - in Alexandria. The meeting will be held at Christine Yeannakis home and will begin around 1pm. Please let us know if you plan to attend. Christine needs to know how much food she will need to have on hand ;) 3) Local volunteers: we need to expand our local volunteer base so if you live near the shelter and would like to become more regularly, actively involved with the shelter, please let us know! 4) PTTR merchandise: lets decide on a few things wed like to have made and get to work on them 5) NH Vet Bill Fundraiser: I have to write-up a description for this. Ill do that tonight and then Jennifer K will launch this. 6) Grants: the grants team is on a roll. We have identified a large number of grants for which PTTR should be eligible. The next step will be to recruit a few more people to help drill down a bit to see what is needed to apply for each grant. 7) PTTR data that is now available: we have a budget that Jen has prepared and also shelter statistics for 2013. We are going to review the year-end financials shortly. 8) Board of Directors: we will be appointing several new members to the BOD within the next week. It will be critical for us to have some local representation on the Board but it is equally as important that we have people on the Board who are willing to contribute to the governance of PTTR and not just passively sit on the Board. 9) Newsletter: Id love to get a monthly newsletter started. Would anyone like to help me with that ;) ?? I think thats it for now :) If you have any questions or suggestions - or if Ive forgotten anything - just let me know
