SATURDAY Severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rain in central and east TX, south LA, south-central OK. TORCON - 4 east TX and southwest LA, 2 to 3 rest of area. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain continue eastward overnight, probably in a squall line, in east TX, southeast OK, south and central AR, LA, west and south MS. TORCON - 3 south LA, south MS. SUNDAY The upper-air forcing may run eastward so fast that it outruns the ability of the low-level instability to return to the Southeast, so this forecast has considerable uncertainty. At least isolated severe thunderstorms seem likely in southeast LA, south half MS, central and south AL, central and south GA, central and south SC, FL panhandle and north FL. TORCON - 3 for now. A chance of isolated severe thunderstorms in southeast MO, south IL, southwest IN, west KY, north MS, central and east AR, northeast LA west TN. If instability gets sufficient, this area could have TORCON higher than 3.
