SCAM ALERT************************************************************ Same scam, different tactic.........someone may call your house claiming to be from the IRS demanding that you make payment for unpaid taxes by a certain time or they will have you arrested by local law enforcement. If you hang up on them they will then spoof a call to your phone that shows up as a local law enforcement agency or even the county dispatch. This is NOT law enforcement calling you. We will never threaten arrest for a federal issue and the IRS will not threaten arrest this way. The IRS will not contact you by phone. If you receive one of these calls related to the IRS please contact your local law enforcement agency who can answer any concerns you may have but DO NOT authorize any sort of payment or give them any of your personal information. Please make friends and family aware of this scam and the way it keeps changing.
