SCHLESIER Olivia Anderson Schlesier, 78, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013. She was born July 23, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida, where she lived all of her life. Olivia was a member of the First United Methodist Church located in downtown Jacksonville and was a graduate and loved Florida State University. She retired from the Duval County School Board in 2002 as a teacher. Olivia was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents, Claude & Mary (Floyd) Anderson and her sister, Claudia Coleman. Survivors include her son, Roger Schlesier (Rebecca) of Jacksonville; daughters, Diana Sandberg (Eric) of Gainesville, FL, Andrea Cross of Dade City, FL; grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, Ashby and Jeremiah Sandberg, Russell and Bryan Paul, Hannah Cross, Sydney, Jessica and Gavin Schlesier; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14 at 11AM in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Dr. Tom Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-8PM. 714-1110.
