Anyone here have experience with panel bonding a hood? I picked up the last of the parts I need for my 69 front end sheet metal rebuild yesterday and I was thinking of having the hood stripped to remove all rust, mainly on the hard-to-reach inner areas. Theres a place here in Detroit that will remove all the paint and everything else on the hood, de-rust it chemically and e-coat it all for $200 - not bad. Problem is, of course, that it will also remove all hood panel sealant in the process. Is re-bonding the inner panels reasonable to do, or am I playing with fire? Thoughts welcome....
