SCOTUS RULING: The US Supreme Court today ruled that corporations with religious objections can refuse to provide contraception coverage as part of employee health plans. The 5-4 ruling means that closely held companies can be exempt from the contraceptive requirement under the Affordable Care Act. Groups from both sides of the debate gathered outside the Supreme Court in Washington DC before the ruling was announced.
