SCR Confers “Man of the Month Award” on 32 Employees for the Months of February and March, 2014 South Central Railway conferred Man of the Month Award on 32 of its employees for the months of February and March, 2014, in appreciation of their dedication to and alertness in duty at a function held at Zonal Railway Training Institute (ZRTI), Moula Ali, Hyderabad today (18th July, 2014). Out of 32 awards, 11 awards are Man of the Month, February, 2014 and 21 awards are Man of the Month, March, 2014. Shri S.P. Sahu, Chief Safety Officer, SCR was the chief Guest on the occasion. Smt. Padmaja, Chief Traffic Manager, SCR and Shri Ramesh Babu, Principal, ZRTI, Moula Ali were the Guests of Honour. The awards (certificate of appreciation and Rs. 1500 in cash) were given away by Shri S.P. Sahu, Chief Safety Officer, SCR and Smt. Padmaja, Chief Traffic Manager, SCR. The awardees from various Divisions of SCR include Loco Pilots, Asst. Loco Pilots, Station Superintendents, Asst. Station Superintendents, Goods Train Guards, Passenger Train Guards, Pointsmen, Gatemen, Keymen and Technician. Speaking the on the occasion, Shri S.P. Sahu, Chief Safety Officer, SCR and Smt. Padmaja, Chief Traffic Manager, SCR, appreciated the awardees for their alertness in duty and avoiding imminent untoward incidents in train operations. They exhorted the awardees to be thorough in safety rules, keep up their good work, and take the message of ensuring safety at any cost to their colleagues. Shri S.P. Sahu, released a ‘Bi-monthly Safety Bulletin’ for May & June 2014, brought out by the SCR Safety Organisation. The defects noticed by the awardees and immediate remedial action taken by the staff concerned include hot axle, rail breakage, break binding, avoiding accident at level crossings, metal tyre, broken fish plate, weld failure, traction link failure.
