SCREENING OUT OF PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS IN AAUA: AN UNJUST ENTERPRISE!!! The National Association of Nigeria Students Campus intervention Committee condemns out rightly the screening out of two presidential aspirants from contesting in the Next Student Union Elections in AAUA. It was discovered that two Students who are Activists bought the form to contest for President and have the support of the rank and file of Students but were screened out on Friday 11th December 2014 on unjust reasons. The first Victim Okunbo Tosin Freedom was screen out for CGPA reasons. He was said to have a CGPA of 2.47 whereas he needs 2.50 to contest in the Elections. But the results in which Freedom had calculated for himself and in which he printed from the schools results checking site. It indicated that He had a CGPA of 2.84 which surpasses what is needed. The Second Victim is Abegunde OluwaTosin Don Navigator who was screened out to what the school called Security Reasons. The Authorities have not been able to explain what they mean by “Security Reasons” as this aspirant has claimed never to have any security issues before and had never been to the Security Unit to answer any query. On this Premise, we hereby warn that if these allegations are true then it is clear that it is mere victimization, and intimidation of Student who are genuine Activists. It is highly rumored that the School does not want Activism in the Student Union hereby this actions. The Campus Intervention Committee of the National Association of Nigeria Students gives a 24 hour Ultimatum to the Electoral Authorities of the Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko to publish the crimes of these Students.
