SCRIPTURE: But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans - TopicsExpress

SCRIPTURE: But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires. Romans 13:14 (HCSB) *PLaNS* OBSERVATION: Mighty God, water of life. Put on the full armor of God that you me be able to withstand the wiles of the devil scripture says. But before we put on the armor of God we must remind ourselves to keep Jesus near. Keeping in mind that at the moment we were saved Christ now lives in us and we are His holy temple. We are spotless, blameless and washed white as snow in the eyes of God. How often do we make plans to satisfy our fleshly desires? By the minute, by the hour or does it just happen when we let our guard down? All of the above are true as we are sinful beings. We inadvertently make these plans without even knowing it. By what we say, what we watch and in whom we share our company with. Plans are being stored up future decisions all the time. Of course it is easier to look and act righteous in church or around church people, but how about when you are alone, with family or friends? A little sin here, a little sin there and ALL sin starts to seep in. Like a crack in a pot sin can always seep in. When can however, keep Christ close in mind as if He was our own flesh and blood. Think of how you act around a pastor or someone you deeply respect. You probably watch what you say and do. Now multiply this times infinity and think of your Lord and Savior. Would you blow a hit of smoke in His righteous face or show the Creator a history of the naughty photos you were browsing only minutes before?! The answer would be a resounding NO if you have any conscious or respect in you. Let us remember that God sees all. Every thought and every action. He also knows your heart condition. Be mindful saint, be mindful of what you say, think and do. Yes, life and death are in the power of the tongue but it all has to start somewhere. What do you spend your God given time doing? What you focus on will determine your next step. Keep your eyes focused on Christ and you are sure to succeed! *PLaNS* APPLICATION: I will remember that Christ is in me and think before I do anything. Guarding my eyes and ears at all times. PRAYER: I pray that You cleanse me of any unrighteousness and help me to keep the image of Christ on the forefront of my mind. Amen & Amen Scotty P.S.
