SCRIPTURE: “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” (James 5:16) God is not concerned this morning about fancy words, about if you stand praying or if you kneel praying. He is concerned though, about the condition of your heart and the way you conduct your life. It’s like the parable Jesus spoke about in the bible about the two men, one a Pharisee and one a tax collector who went into the temple to pray. The Pharisee viewed himself righteous and viewed others with contempt. The tax collector could not even look up to heaven but the Pharisee exalted himself. It’s said that the tax collector left the temple justified that day. Do you know that the word righteous also means honest? To summarise, a deep/sober prayer of an honest person has great power and produces WONDERFUL results. Let this be me and you this morning… Father, thank you that You are so wonderful to me. Thank you, that when I fail, You lift me up. Thank you Father, that nothing can separate me from Your love. Thank you Father that you exalt me when I know how to humble myself. I pray that I will die to self, daily, so that I can be an available instrument within Your hands, in Jesus Name, Amen.
