SCS Educators to Participate in National Teacher Summit in NYC Eight Shelby County Schools educators have been invited to take part in the fourth annual Education Nation Summit and Teacher Town Hall. This three day conference is October 4 – 8, 2013 in New York City. More than 300 of the nation’s leaders in education, government and business are expected to take part in this year’s event. The 2013 Education Nation Summit will focus on “What It Takes” to ensure students are successfully prepared for college, careers and beyond. Participants will take part in a series of educational case studies from communities across the country and receive tools to help them in their fields of work. Education Nation seeks to create a thoughtful, well-informed dialogue with policymakers, educators, parents and the public in pursuit of the shared goal of providing every American with an opportunity to achieve the best education in the world.
