SEARCH BEGINS FOR NEXT FOX SPORTS DETROIT GIRL Contest Launches Monday at FOXSportsDetroit to Select the Network’s Next FOX Sports Detroit Girl FOX Sports Detroit is holding a contest to cast a new FOX Sports Detroit Girl after Lauren’s announcement to move on from the network at the end of July. The contest launches July 1 on FOXSportsDetroit. Through July 19, interested fans can go to FOXSportsDetroit where they can upload a video up to two minutes describing/demonstrating their affinity for Detroit sports and why they should be the next FOX Sports Detroit Girl. Ten finalists will be selected by the network, with online voting from August 1-8 to help determine the winner. The new FOX Sports Detroit Girl will be announced August 14. The new FOX Sports Detroit Girl will join Brittney and Stephanie in on-air promos and web/print advertisements. The winner will also make personal appearances at community event and game venues as well as interact on all FSD Girl social media platforms. “We’ve had an overwhelming number of inquiries about how one becomes a FOX Sports Detroit Girl, so this is a great opportunity,” said Lauren Pober, director of marketing of FOX Sports Detroit. “We look forward to seeing the entries from our fans who share our network’s passion for Detroit sports.”
