SEASONS OF THE SON . It’s New Year, 2015. Celebrating New Year is in the air, comprising in happiness wrapped in wishes and greetings from one person to another, and thanksgivings to the LORD from thankful hearts. Thank you Lord for the gifts of life and days, and greetings to all men, who now read this, full of happiness and joy and peace towards you: Let both the true God and men prosper in this Year, 2015, in the name of the LORD. Amen. . If it lies on my own part to open the year for any of you, I now declare the Year-2015 officially opened for you: Open for you in the covenant of God, open for you in the relationship with Jesus Christ, open for you in prosperity and true success, open for you in the kingdom of God, open for you in understanding of the word of God and in the Mysteries of Wisdom, and open for you in love and obedience of righteousness. Let the door of sin and iniquity be closed, for the door of righteousness and true holiness to be opened in this Year-2015. Sin and lies shall not prosper in this year at any level; but righteousness and judgment shall prevail and prosper in all levels in this year and beyond – in the name of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. ……………………………… Yes it is a New Year, 2015; but even the New Year is in the last days. It being a new year did not change the season from being the last days’ season. Thus, we are both in a New Year and deeper in the Last days. Actually, it depends on how you scope the season. If I say “Seasons greetings to you,” it is left for you to either scope the seasons as “New Year seasons” or as “Last days seasons.” If your scope is brief, then it will only be a ‘New Year seasons’ to you; but if your scope is wider, then it will be ‘Last days seasons.’ However, if your scope is both, it will be both “New Year Seasons” and “Last days Seasons” to you. . People are quick to tell others that it is a New Year season, but they are reluctant to remind them that it is Last days’ season. Perhaps the reason is because they attach new hopes to the New Year, but not so with the Last days’ season. But I tell you this, our hope in the last days does not lie in the New Year, but in the Son of God who is all things to us. . From His Testament, I read this to you: “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right Hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they” [[Hebrews 1:1-4]] . For the past few days I ‘d being citing this reference, I ‘ve always joined the four verses together; not because I must speak from the four verses in each update, but because the first “Full Stop” punctuation occurred in the end of verse four according to the Bible translation that I use (King James Version). It is because of full-stop punctuation that I had to join all the four verses together, because I felt the sentence should stop where the Full-stop is indicated. . From that reference above, I will extract this phrase, “All things.” And I will dwell on how “All things” are connected with the Son of God, the One who speaks to us - (Us means those whom He purged from sin, in that reference). • God appointed the Son the Heir of all things (Hebrews 1:2). • The Son upholds all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). Therefore, the Son is incharge of “all things” by two ways: By being the Heir of all things, and by upholding all things by the word of His power. This means, The Son is the LORD of all things. . How does that benefit us? Before I cited that reference, I said, the Son of God is all things to us. How are we benefited with the Son? Here is the answer: We are benefited because we are joined to the Son. . Now take this: The reason He was made heir of all things was not because He is God, but because He is the Son of God. • As God He upholds all things by His Word of power, because He made all things (Hebrews 1:3). • But as the Son of God, He became Heir of all things. This means, if we human beings become sons and daughters of God, we too shall be made heirs of all things together with Jesus. Whatever Jesus received as the Son of God, we too can receive the same when we become sons and daughters of God. It was because of Men that Jesus became Son of God: If there were no man, Jesus would not have become Son of God in the first place. It was when Jesus was born and became like us that Jesus became the Son of God. The Word of God became flesh like us and dwelt among us, that was when the Word of God became the Son of God {(John 1:14, Luke 1:35)}. . Therefore, God became man to show men who they were called to be as Sons and Daughters of God. Again I say this, “Whatever you read or hear that Jesus became as the Son of God, that is what God has called us who believe in the Son to also become in the Son of God;” and being heir of all things is one of the things we have in the Son of God, because He had it as the Son. Jesus was appointed Heir of all things as the Son of God (Hebrews 1:2); we too shall be heir of all things together with Christ when we become sons and daughters of God. As it is written, “And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father.” Therefore you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” [[Galatians 4:6-7]] Again, as it is written, “For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” [[Romans 8:15-17]] . Perhaps, there is a Muslim, a pagan, a Buddhist, a Hinduist or an Atheist or even a free-thinker, who is now reading this: And you may be wondering how we became the sons and daughters of God. We became the Sons of God by receiving the Son of God and His Spirit in us. As it is written, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” [[John 1:12-14]] . We are in the last days in which God now speaks to us through His Son, the Heir of all things; soon, you will also witness the manifestation of the Sons of God, which is the event the whole creation awaits. • We await the return of Jesus Christ to perfect us as Sons of God. • But the whole creation awaits, not just the return of Jesus Christ, but the manifestation of the Sons of God (Romans 8:19).
