SECOND HALF GLORY On a blustery day at Paradise Park a great game commenced between West End under 15s and Bonymaen. The wind played a big part in the game and made it difficult to play lofted balls. Both teams started with great pace and determination but West End took the lead through Kurtis Rees after 10 minutes when a through ball by Daniel Williams reached Kurt in the box for him to calmly side foot into the net. Bony equalised shortly after when a back pass went astray and landed at the feet of Kieran King for him to half volley into the net from just outside the box. Both teams kept battling but West End managed to take the lead before the interval when Kurtis Rees side footed the ball into the corner of the net for his second. With the wind behind West End in the second half they made the most of their chances. Goal number 3 came shortly after kick off when a mix up between the bony Centre backs saw the ball land at the feet of Daryl Hughes for him to lob over Nicky Smart into the bony net although nicky did manage to get a hand to it. The fourth goal came from an identical scenario but this time daryl passed the ball into the bony net with the keeper deciding to stay on his line. West End managed to maintain the pressure and had a good spell where shots from Ronan Templeton, daryl hughes and James Eynon were nearly rewarded with goals. The fifth goal finally came from a corner which ended up in a goal mouth scramble with the ball falling to the feet of Callum Saunders who smashed home from close range. Shortly after bonymaen were awarded a penalty when kieran king was brought down inside the box. Up stepped Brandon Collins who smashed the ball towards the bottom right only for Sam Williams to deny him with the save of the match. With the last play of the game left back Kallum Owen lofted the ball down the left wing to daryl hughes who cut inside the bony right back and bent the ball into the top right hand corner for his 43rd of the season. All in all this was a brilliant game with every single player giving 100%.A big mention goes to both keepers who despite the score line had fantastic games. M.O.M Daryl Hughes
