SECRETS OF HAJJ NARRATIONS AND COMTEMPLATIONS OF ABDULSALAM MOHAMMED DAARU WRITTEN FROM MECCA PART 1: MY NARRATIONS ALHAMDULILAHI for the Blessing to successfully complete all the rituals of HAJJ. I first READ and HEARD about Hajj and the blessed Holy cities of Mecca and Madina from Sheikh Mustapha Yaajalal, the Proprietor of Islamic Training Institute when I was in primary 6. Even from the stories of others; my mind has captured many pictures of the beautiful sites and scenes that kept me wondering about such a Miraculous Religious Gathering on Earth; HAJJ. Little did I realize that the PPF RESEARCH Journey we embarked in 2013 of which we visited many MASAAJID in GHANA will be completed with the blessed visit to HOLY MASJIDUL HARAM in Mecca and MASJIDUL NABAWI in Madina. The reason for my journey was not only to perform Hajj but to serve the Ghanaian pilgrims as a member of the 2014 Medical Team; a responsibility that we have collectively as a team discharged to the best of our ability. Within six hours of our departure from Ghana, we were in the CITY of My PROPHET. In MADINA, I prayed in the HOLY MASJID of the MOST BLESSED PROPHET MOHAMMED (SAW), I visited THE TOMB and RAUDA of THE PROPHET. I prayed for all blessed companions of the my PROPHET; Abubakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Hamza and visited graves of other COMPANIONS at the BAKIYA CEMETRY, I received the REWARD of UMRAH even before reaching Mecca by praying just 2 RAKA’AT in MASJIDUL QUBAH, the first MASJID the PROPHET built upon entering MADINA. I was at the MOUNT UHUD, and at MASJIDUL KIBLATAIN; the historic MASJID where some companions of our PROPHET (SAW) prayed a single prayer facing Masjidul AQSAH at the beginning and KAABA at the end when the news of Allah’s command for change of KIBLAH reached them in the state of SALAT. The next day after I performed the Friday JUMAH in the Mosque that its reward of a single SALAT is 1,000 times of the same Salat in any mosque except KAABAH, we left to the MIIQAT, called ZULHULAIFA and declared our intentions for Umrah of HAJJ TAMMATUI, after our purification bath and wearing the two non stitched white clothes exactly after ZHUR prayers. Our voices were uttering the Talbiyaa till Mecca; the SACRED CITY of KAABA where the reward of a single Salat in any Mosque is multiplied 100,000 times. That night, I did UMRAH by doing TAWAF AND SAI and thereafter removed my IHRAM. I did Circumambulation (TAWAF) of the SACRED House of KAABAH 7 times: the FIRST HOUSE BUILT on earth for the purpose of ALLAHS WORSHIP, I Touched the RUKN YEMENI corner as MY PROPHET DID, I touched and KISSED the BLESSED BLACK STONE which was sent from HEAVEN as MY PROPHET DID. I stood tightly with my body pressing at MULTAZAM, the part of KAABAH between THE BLACKSTONE CORNER and THE DOOR of KAABAH and said my supplication because of the SECRET therein. I prayed INSIDE the KAABAH and recited Salawat to PROPHET MOHAMMED (SAW). Don’t be surprised for the HIJIR of ISMAIL,(the semi-Circle space clearly demarcated) is indeed a part of the inside of KAABA. I was at the MAKAMI IBRAHIM, where Prophet Ibrahim stood (in the construction of KAABAH), thereafter, I walked and Jogged to and fro between the Hills of SAFAH and MARWAH, 7 times, a cumulative distance of about 3.5miles tracing the footstep of SAYADA HAJARA as my PROPHET DID. I drunk from the blessed water of ZAMZAM that sprung miraculously from the blessed feet of Prophet ISMAIL, as MY PROPHET DID. Again I wore my IHRAM for the second time in my residence in MECCA on the 8TH Day of ZHULHIJA and left MY room to camp in the canopies and tents of MINA waiting to proceed to ARAFAH the next day as My PROPHET DID. My sins were wiped at the same ground where ALLAH forgave my Grandfather, Prophet Adams first SIN. I stood and prayed for myself, family, friends, and the Muslim Ummah of GHANA and the rest of the world at the BLESSED plain of ARAFAH till sunset on a Blessed Friday. I passed THAT night at the OPEN grounds of MUZDALIFAH as MY PROPHET DID. In MINA, I threw pebbles at the exact spots that Prophet Ibrahim threw at SATAN, I made a sacrifice of a RAM just as Prophet Ibrahim was asked to do in replacement of the Sacrifice of PROPHET ISMAIL and afterwards shaved my head completely BALD as MY PROPHET DID. I took off the IHRAM for the second time and threw pebbles at the JAMMARAT again on the 11th, 12th, and 13th days of Dhulhijja. I returned to MECCA and observed TAWAF of HAJJ (TAWAF HAJJ) and repeated the SAI between the Hills of SAFAH and MARWAH. At this time, I completed the rituals of HAJJ not without difficulties and struggles but with extreme excitements, joy and maximum glorification to Allah ALMIGHTY. PART 2: MY CONTEMPLATIONS My contemplations about HAJJ started long before I had this opportunity to travel to MECCA in 2014. It is evidently clear that HAJJ is the single most universal event that reminds people of equality before ALLAH. All pilgrims, white or black, rich or poor, old or young wear the same white non stitched cloths, and perform the rituals of HAJJ together without any discrimination. There is no event in the world that will unite mankind like HAJJ. The largest human crowd we see at Hajj reminds us of the Day of Judgment when all generation of mankind, jinkind and all creations shall be raised from death. There are many lessons one can draw from HAJJ. However, my contemplations went deep trying to understand the SECRETS behind each of the rituals of HAJJ. I went deep and deeper till I arrived at a concept in ISLAM called THE SPIRITUAL SIGINIFICANCE OF AFFINITY. It was this concept that satisfied my curiosity about the secrets of HAJJ. About 2 years ago I COMPILED a book yet to be published about it. I therefore wish to share some excerpts of it for the benefit of time and the relevance of the HAJJ season. STAY TUNED FOR MORE POST
