SECURITY ALERT: We have just become aware of a situation at Cretin-Durham Hall, which apparently involved the sighting of an individual with a gun in an alley off Hamline Avenue. This individual was not on the Cretin campus, but was near enough for the school to put their campus on lockdown. We have spoken with Cretin and they inform us that the police are there and are handling the situation. No Cretin students are in danger. We are also in communication with the Saint Paul police. As a precaution, we have secured both our Randolph and Goodrich campuses. All external doors on both campuses are now locked and the children in the full-day program at Goodrich have been brought inside. We are also increasing our security presence on both campuses. We anticipate that the situation will be resolved by the time conferences start this afternoon, and will alert the community when we have more information.
