SEE MAGAZINE CAREER TESTIMONY...TODAY’S TOP STORY BEHIND THE HUGE TROUBLE I WENT THROUGH WAS A HUGE PROMOTION “It happened when banks had issues with bad loans. I had worked in same bank for almost two decades without hitches prior to that time. I had recommended loans for approval to several customers but prior to that period, I had never ran into bad debts, neither have I bagged any query. Among the loans approved that period for my customers, a particular loan granted one of my female customers became a real issue. She had asked for a facility to enable her fund one of her supplies to a blue chip company. I can say I let down my guards because that request came from a supposed sister-in-the-Lord who had become so frequent in the bank. So, with the necessary documentation she forwarded, she was granted the facility. We expected her back with our money after one year but it turned out that she diverted the money to shares that had slumped in their prices. Then she suddenly stopped coming to the bank. Unknown to us, she had moved out of her house and had relocated elsewhere. We ended up looking everywhere for her for another nine months. After the fruitless effort to locate the lady, I was asked by my bank to either produce the woman or pay the money which was over N30m, or proceed on an indefinite suspension. While I wailed about the deception from a supposed sister-in-the-Lord, who sometimes prayed with me, I wondered how I was going to inform my husband, knowing I had been careless by trusting her in the first place. While trying to suppress my wailing, wondering where to raise the money to make repayment so as not to dent my reputation with the bank, the news got to a family friend within the financial institution who understood what I was going through. He gave me a relief call. The God-sent friend offered me half of the money in dollars as a short term loan, insisting he wanted his money back in same dollars and we agreed. My husband added to the sum by terminating his fixed deposit. And having raised about seventy percent of the money from both sources, I repaid same, thinking that my bank would give me some breather but I was shocked to learn that I was still due for indefinite suspension except of course I repay the loan to the last kobo. Who else do I have than to cry back to God, telling Him I knew I have been careless because the lady called His name. Amazingly, the same family friend came to my rescue, this time with his wife’s business funds while close friends raised the balance such that I could make the total repayment and meet the deadline given me by the bank just as the indefinite suspension letter meant for me was going to be signed. As soon as I finished repaying, it was as if God dispatched His angels, such that within 24 hours, my aggrieved subordinates who knew the deceptive woman went on to lay ambush for her. And she was caught trying to sneak into her same apartment which she had already vacated. Within 7days, the case was charged to court and she was found guilty and was sentenced to the maximum security prison in Lagos. To the shame of the devil, the lady could not implicate me as a co-culprit because I was clean and if I had actually played games with her concerning the money, while in handcuff she would have exposed it. However all through the period of the search for the truth, I had suffered. I had lost self- confidence. I was walking with one shoulder down. Nothing pleased me. Anything I took in came out. It was as if my heart was going to drop out of my skin. In meetings, I heard myself talk as though I wasn’t the one talking. I requested that prayer altars be raised all over on my behalf. I couldn’t find the words to pray but I was on the mountain, waiting on the Lord most of the time. I even learnt that I fainted while having prayer of agreement with one of my close friends that reach out on weekends to raise children as Godly seeds. One thing I can remember that the Spirit of God kept asking and telling me was, do you believe you can come out of this trouble? .... All things are possible if you believe! And He gave me Psalm 34 for reassurance of victory. Indeed God made the arrest of the lady possible. It was only Him that could have brought back an already absconded lady who had been parading herself as a Nigerian with a Nigerian passport whereas she was a Cameroonian. God made my vindication possible. God did even more than I could ever have imagined or asked. Six months after the Lord vindicated me, a relieved me was on vacation overseas when the position of Managing Director of one of our subsidiaries became vacant. The board called for my curriculum vitae, which a close friend produced in my absence. And I was recommended for the position by the same Management. I wasn’t the most qualified as one of the requirement was a staff who has had a General Manager experience. I have never been a General Manager, and there were other requirement which I couldnt claim to have then or now. I had just got a vindication from a case involving several millions yet I was chosen to be the next Managing Director of our subsidiary. Who would have thought that behind the huge trouble was a huge promotion? God who did it is too deep for my understanding, and He is also able to give you that testimony you have been waiting for.” Mrs A Lagos SEE ....weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) Is there anything too difficult for our God? God remains the king of old, still working salvation in the midst of the earth (Psalm 74:12). All His ways are perfect. By His right hand, he had saved our testifier who put her trust in Him from them that rose up against her. By His gentleness, He had made her great(Psalm 18:35). Yes, our testifier had made her mistake, trusting blindly because someone called herself the Lord’s. But God is a merciful God that upholds those that fall… (Psalm 145:14). In His faithfulness, He heard the cry of His righteous one and He delivered her from all her troubles (Psalm 34:17). He avenges His elect who cry day and night unto Him (Luke 18:7). So also you who are still going through are being prepared for your promotion which cometh not from the east, nor from the west nor from the south but from God. (Psalm 75:6-7). So will God meet your need and change your shame to glory as you lean not on your understanding on how He is going to do it. Like our testifier got delivered because she set her love upon the Lord, so will you be delivered as you set your love on Him; as she was set on high because she knows His name, so will you be set on high because you know His name(Psalm 91:14) (Culled from SEE Inspirations Magazine….Success Edition) INSPIRED/ENCOURAGED/POSITIVELY CHALLENGED BY SEE MAG CAREER TESTIMONY?
