SELFLESSNESS instead of Selfishness.... Love does not demand its own way....love is wonderful & it is woderful to experience Gods unshakable kind...unconditional.....but for us humans, our love is vulnerable to our imperfections....... We can share ourselves to show good behavior even when were secretly boiling over with unhealthy, unhelpful emotions....we might fool others & even ourselves for a while, but God sees what goes on inside & thats the part that matters most to Him......... Perhaps the quality of love that embodies all the others is selflessness, or not demanding our own way...we cant fake selflessness for long because eventually, our human nature kicks in and tires of putting others first...most people are too....well, SELFISH... to put that much effort into it...... Unselfish love is redundant, really, since true love cannot be selfish...developing a lifestyle of love takes time to learn because we prefer to receive love rather than to give it, that is, until love is perfectly in us.....if we want to appreciate giving, more than receiving, take heart in the unselfish direction that one desire already is leading us, and ask God for opportunities to develop SELFLESSNESS........
