SENIOR ACCOUNTANT AED 3,000 - 10,000 p.m. Rockwood International is a member of the Al Reyami group of companies based in Dubai, UAE. The company is an engineering firm that provides machinery solutions to our clients in the steel fabrication industry. We have been operating since 1991, and are continuing to expand across the Middle East, India and East Africa. About the Role: We are looking for an accountant to be responsible for the accurate recording and processing of financial transactions of the company. The successful candidate will have the appropriate experience in general ledger, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and materials accounting, cashflow control, payroll, and ability to ensure timely and accurate reporting to management. Qualification & Skills: • Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) • Minimum 3 years practical accounting experience, preferably managing the finance function of an import/export house • Practical knowledge of trade finance (letter of credit, TR, overdrafts, discounting) • Excellent English communication skills (written and oral) • Excellent inter-personal skills to work with department managers • Self-motivated and energetic, able to manage workload independently • Excellent Excel skills • Experience with Peachtree or equivalent accounting software is essential Summary: This is an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious finance professional that will relish the challenge of growing an existing department with an expanding business and being an invaluable business partner.
