*SENIOR ALERT* A1445280 WALTER (a volunteer took Walter in the shelter yard. watch the video: youtu.be/gZ8xcBwLgEw) This older gentleman really makes us smile! Walter is a 12 pound, 8 year old NEUTERED male black and white Chihuahua-Smooth Coated who has been living at the shelter since December 30th. That is far too long for this ADORABLE little guy who should be cozied up on a soft bed or human lap and enjoying the comforts of a home. Affectionately nicknamed the lovable Grouch, Walter is known for being a bit grumpy at the shelter. The noisy and crowded kennels were not his cup of tea so the staff considerately moved him into his very own cage in the front lobby where he can enjoy a little more peace and quiet. This HANDSOME boy was sleeping when we paid him a visit so we chose not to wake him. Wonderful Walter would make an EXCELLENT LAP DOG and companion to a person who enjoys a slower paced lifestyle. Since he would be a low-maintenance pet (not requiring much exercise or training), Walter might be a great choice for a person who works long hours but dreams of having a loving dog to come home to every day. Like any senior pet, Walter would be content sleeping the day away! Being so SMALL, you could easily take this pup with you everywhere. There is something special about senior dogs, and Walter is no exception. Wed love to see this snuggly little guy back in a home and getting all the love and affection that he deserves. Since he is already neutered, you can take him home right away. Come down to the shelter and adopt or rescue Walter today!
