Toowoomba Drift Trikers are having a slide sesh at Picnic Point. This is NOT a closed road event so we ask everyone to respect other road users. Kick-off will be around 10-10:30 am. If everyone can chuck in $5 for fuel for the tow truck drivers, that would be appreciated. Contact Cameron Zell for more info if needed. ••SEQSS RULES•• If you attend any meet/event listed on this page, you MUST abide by our rules. Not because we are tight arses, its because we have yours and others safety in mind as well as the reputation of our sport. #1. Helmets. We have a strict policy on this. We will NOT let anyone slide with us if you dont have a skid lid. Plain and simple. #2. Decent clothing. No one likes having skin removed from the road if you have a crash, so be sensible about what youre wearing. Pluggers, stubbies and wife beaters are for bogans, not drifting. #3. Trike construction. Make sure your trike is safe. If your sitting on a piece of steel capable of going fast, you want to be sure its not going to fly apart at top speed. #4. General Behaviour. Other people use the areas we slide in. So keep the bad english at a low volume. Respect other road users. Remember, we are on their turf when we slide so have patience and stay clear of the road when youre not sliding. #5. Bad Sports. If you purposefully try to push someone off the road or intentionally crash into them, then there is no place for you. It endangers other riders safety so dont be a dick. ••DRIFT BATTLE FORMAT•• note: This guide has been made by the board of SEQSS reps. If you are going to use our ideas, at least give us some credit and respect •2x riders per heat •Designated drift zones on each corner. •Judge on each corner. **SCORING** •Points are earned by drifting big angles in the designated drift zones. •Bonus points for speed and style. This includes: cancans, one-handers, reverse entry, over-under cancans etc. •Bonus points for chain drifting into the next drift zone (does NOT include fish tails). •Bonus points for mimicking your opponent (if they are in front) **LOSS OF POINTS/DNF** •If your opponent passes and/or pulls away, it will result in loss of points. •Contact between trikes will result in a DNF for the rider at fault. •Spin-outs will be deemed as a DNF. •If a rider goes off-road, it will be deemed as a DNF. •If youre in a heat and your opponent has been disqualified, you still need to finish the heat. •Each zone MUST be drifted or a DNF will be awarded. ••SPEED TRIKE FORMAT•• note: This guide has been made by the board of SEQSS reps. If you are going to use our ideas, at least give us some credit and respect. •Each heat will have 4 competitors. •The first 2 over the line will progress to the next heat. •Each race will be started from a stationary position. **DISQUALIFICATION** •Competitors CANNOT false start any more than once per race. •Competitors with pedals CANNOT use them during the race. •Competitors CANNOT cut off a passing competitor. •Competitors CANNOT bump into other competitors.
