SERMON: MEANS OF INTERPRETING SYMBOLIC DREAMS God leads through VISIONS AND DREAMS (Job 33:14-15) God deals with us according to type’s figures of speech, numbers and symbolic objects, symbolic creatures, symbolic actions, symbolic names, colors, symbolic directions, symbolic places when giving us instructions. 4 LEVELS OF INTERPRETATION 1. FACE VALUE DREAMS- taking dreams at face value 2. ALLEGORICAL DREAMS- Figures, numbers etc 3. METAPHORICAL DREAMS- situation where something stands for another thing METAPHORICAL DREAMS Clouds –Also could mean the calling of God, Hosts of people, good or evil. Wind – it represents the Holy Spirit. Rain –a revival, refreshing, blessing. Earthquake – God is about to shake some things. Judgment is coming. Snow – time of refreshing. Bathroom – place where spiritual toxins are removed from you. Kitchens – a place of spiritual preparation/spiritual food. Restaurant – something of greater influence feeding more people. A room above your house/an attic – it represents history/past issues in your family. Basements/a place under the house – it means hidden/foundational issues. Crack in the basement wall – foundational issues are beginning to break apart Bedroom – intimacy and rest Windows – visions or the ability to see the future. Window fogged over – you have been given the vision for the future but something has happened which is blocking the vision. Front porch – something is preparing you for the future Back porch – the ability to recognize what has happened in your past family bloodline Roof – spiritual covering Leaks when it rained – there are things, which need to be fixed or repaired. Hallway – a transition, going from one phase of your life to another. Hallways with several turns – you are in a transition. Unexpected changes will take place. Straight hallway – the transition is going to be swift and you are going straight to where God wants you Stairway going up – going higher in the spirit Going down – God is taking you through a time of humbleness Elevator – increase or decrease in the anointing Garden – love and intimacy. New relationships Body parts: Naked – Transparency Bosom – a place of affection, intimacy (Luke 16:22-23, John 13:23) Breast – Love Intimacy, relationship Breath – Impartation (Genesis 2:7, Genesis 7: 15, Ezekiel 37:9, John 20: 22) Ears - Channel of Faith and communication (Mathew 13:9, 15, 16, 43 Eyes – sight, vision (Revelation 1:14) Nose – discernment. Teeth – the ability to understand something, chews on something, apply and digest. Forehead - mind, memory, thoughts. Hair - Woman’s glory. Grey hair - Wisdom, ancient of days Hand – it represents relationship (if it is stretched out to you). Left hand – what you are called to and or judgment Right hand – faith and strength, Blessing Shoulder - place of strength, support, government Thigh – it represents faith Left leg – your walk that you are called to walk Right leg broken – your walk of faith is broken Right arm – strength and faith Heel- Crushing power, victory (Romans 16:20) Feet – A place of Humility, walk of peace Feet on earth/sea–formal possession Feet on neck- victory over enemies Man- Image of God, intelligence Hair – wisdom and anointing. Grey hair – mature wisdom Neck – Stubbornness, abstinence. Side – vulnerability. Breath – Impartation (Genesis 2:7, Ezekiel 37:9, John 20: 22)
