SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT...A message from KBON 101.1 owner, Paul Marx)..... KBON 101.1FM HAS NOT & WILL NEVER BE SOLD. Well, its not surprising, I expected rumors to be started so let me make it clear. I am semiretired, and no longer do on-air work, but I did not retire from working. As a matter of fact I probably put in more hours now than when I was doing the morning show, BUT now, thanks to my great, hard working Louisiana Proud employees I can choose the time I want to get up in the morning and when I want to come to the office. lol Please know that I am still owner of KBON 101.1FM, a FAMILY owned & managed radio station, with plans of the station being passed on to generation after generation of family. The music will always be VARIETY WITH A LOUISIANA FLAVOR with emphasis on promoting our local music. Our music is programmed for our local audience but shared with the world via our KBON CLUB. Our local people & our local musicians will always be able to depend on KBON for support & promotion of our local music, heritage & culture. KBON is not just a business for me. I sincerely feel that this is the life & responsibility I was given by a higher power and I assure you I dont plan on disappointing the one who assigned me this life nor those who depend on what is being done at KBON.
