SFPD Arrest Bayview Homicide Suspect. On July 24th, San Francisco Police Homicide investigators arrested Marckys Mendez, 20 years old, a San Bruno resident, for his connection in a homicide that occurred on July 6th on the 1700 block of La Salle Street. Mendez shot two victims who were both transported to San Francisco General Hospital. One victim died from his injuries at SFGH. The second victim is expected to survive from his injuries. Mendez is also connected to a second shooting that occurred earlier on the unit block of Cameron Way where two victims were shot. One victim was located at the scene and the second was located at SFGH. Both victims are expected to survive from their injuries. Mendez was arrested today in San Bruno without incident. Mendez was booked into San Francisco County Jail on one count of murder, three counts of attempted murder, convicted felon in possession of ammunition and probation violation. Mendez’s booking photo is attached to this press release. These cases are still ongoing and active investigations.
