SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN…? The scripture says ‘What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid….’ Romans 6:1-2. It was Apostle Paul that asked this question and he gave the reply in a choleric manner. Concerning the issue of sin, you have to be choleric and not a phlegmatic fellow, otherwise the devil will sidetrack such a person. We may smile at anything good, but when it comes to sin, we cry! The choleric cry of my heart this New Year is this simple verse. ‘To continue in sin? God forbid!’ When lust is presenting itself, the reply should be ‘God forbid!’ When pride is about to open the door into my heart, I need to say “God forbid!” Concerning the Anger and Bitterness of the old year, I also have to declare “God forbid!” What about the malice of OFFENSES and the OFFENDERS of last year? The reply is still the same “God Forbid!” The year of wallowing in the ocean of sin is past. The era now should be a time of fighting against sin. You can only be an overcomer if you know how to fight sin. TO EVERY TEMPTATION TO SIN, MAKE THE DECLARATION LOUD AND CLEAR: “GOD FORBID!” Two weeks have come to past in the New Year. I hope you are not gradually retarding into the old year’s lifestyle? LET US NOT CONTINUE TO COMMIT and CONFESS! As many as are praying to dwell in the grace, goodness and glory of GOD this new year, this two- word prayer should always follow the presentation of sin: GOD FORBID! IN THIS NEW YEAR, SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SENSUALITY? I SAY GOD FORBID! SHALL WE CONTINUE IN CARNALITY? I SAY GOD FORBID! SHALL WE CONTINUE IN PRAYERLESSNESS? I SAY GOD FORBID! …..tholinessVision
