SHARING!!!!!!! Hi everyone!! Welcome to the food train for Ashley & Joel! By publishing this that means that shes here! Shes really really here! Lillyanne Elizabeth Robertson arrived at 3:13am on the morning of July 9th, 2014. Once she decided to make her appearance she wasted no time in doing so! She weighed in at 5 lbs 1 oz and is 19 1/4 long. She has a head full of dark hair and the most perfect little lips....seriously, Ive never seen such pretty lips on a baby. Shes doing really well but has had to have an extended stay at Kadlecs NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) because she wasnt really suppose to be here for another 5 weeks. But shes a little fighter and with a little help from her nursery friends, we hope shell be going home very soon! Ashley is doing well and I could write a book on the whole birthing experience but for this purpose Ill say she gave birth like a champ, defied all sorts of odds, and is doing really well and is expected to be released tomorrow, Friday, July 11th. Now, Ashley going home and Lillyanne staying in the hospital is not only a logistical challenge its an emotional roller coaster and its going to put a lot of time constraints on both Ashley and Joel as they work towards integrating baby into the family picture. Ashley will be going back and forth between home and hospital several times a day for Lillyannes feedings and they could use some help with meals. If you would like to help by making a meal and dropping it off in the evening that would be really great! Theyre not very picky and I promise they will appreciate your efforts more than they could ever put into words. Local peeps, this is really easy and for those of you who are not local to Ashley & Joel, you can help too if youd like to order a meal and have it delivered by a local restaurant. Well add some suggestions in another post. Thank you all so much!!!
