^^^DAY6 of P.T.T.W.9^^^ #GUINEA, WEST AFRICA #Pray4Guinea Guinea went through 50 years of autocracy, military coups, massacres of civilians, and plundering by its rulers. Now, aging President Alpha Condé is attempting to combat the deadly epidemic that still infects hundreds. Ebola is the number one “enemy of the state” that threatens the future of its citizens. Government workers continue the door-to-door educational campaign of disease prevention. Pray for a complete end to the Ebola outbreak in Guinea and West Africa. Ask the LORD to heal the many people afflicted by the deadly virus. Pray for many to put their trust in the Blood of Jesus Christ (The Bible, 1 Peter 2:24). #THAILAND, SOUTHEAST ASIA 4/14 Prayer Network Thailand There are about 12 million people worldwide who lack citizenship and about 20% live in Thailand. Two and a half million ethnic hill tribes have lived in Northern Thailand for generations. However, country borders have changed and many hill tribes do not have citizenship. The International Justice Mission helps negotiate these complex applications. Government apathy and prejudice towards these minority groups is rampant. It can take up to six years to complete the citizenship process. With citizenship documents, people have access to medical care and schools. They can own land, demand fair wages, and participate in elections. One woman smiled and said that receiving citizenship was like her second birthday. Pray the government upholds the rights of minority groups in Northern Thailand. Pray for favor, patience, and perseverance for those addressing these complex issues. Praise God that He is a God of love and justice (The Bible, Isaiah 61:8).
